NHL POSITIONS!!!
First position: Goaltender
The goaltender referred to as the goalie is the player responsible for preventing the hockey puck from entering the net and preventing the other team from scoring. The goalie mostly plays in or near in front of the net called the goalies crease.
Second position: Center
The center is the person who's main job is to score
goals. They play in the main zone which is the middle of the ice. They
will take the faceoff in the center of the ice and they often end up covering a
large amount of ice. Center hockey players are fast skaters and pass the
puck more than any other position.
Third position: Defenseman
The Defenseman is the main player that should keep the other players team from scoring. They are the first one's back down the ice. They score the least amount of goals because they are supposed to be back down the ice.
Fourth position: Left Wing
A left wing an offensive position that stays on the left side of the ice. left wings are a forward position so this position try to find scoring positions for the team. left wings must have good eyes so they can see the puck. They also try to steel passes or block sots so they can score
Fifth position: Right Wing
Right wings mainly stay on the right side of the ice. Right wings must be fast skaters and be abele the react fast when the puck is coming at them. There focus is to score goals and steel the puck from other players
